STRIX attended the Egyptian-Portuguese Business Forum, an event hosted in Cairo last Thursday, April 12.
This forum brings together selected Portuguese and Egyptian companies, hence highlighting the interest and potential on both sides of this relationship
This forum was integrated into the official visit of the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, that addressed the final session.
STRIX is one of the Portuguese companies invited and was represented by Miguel Repas and Edgar Secca.
This Forum is organized by the Federation of the Egyptian Chambers of Commerce. (FEDCOC) in cooperation with the Portuguese Agency for Trade and Investment (AICEP) The Egyptian-Portuguese Business Council was co-chaired by Mohammed Abou El-Enein and Paulo Almeida. Businessman Abou El-Enein, Head of the Egyptian-European Business Council said on Sunday that “Portugal positions are always supportive to Egypt against any attack whether in the European Union or in the United Nations”.
According to the Portuguese embassy in Cairo “The Egyptian-Portuguese Business Forum provides a great opportunity to hold meetings and exchange views on economic developments and market opportunities for businessmen in both countries.”
This is the second time that Egypt-Portugal Business forum met, since in October, last year, the committee was in Cairo, under the chairmanship of the foreign ministers of both countries. During the meeting, five memoranda of understanding and agreements in the fields of tourism, youth, sports and air services were signed by the two countries.
