STRIX was invited to participate as a specialist in biodiversity and ecology of the Landscape Museum Project (Museu da Paisagem, in Portuguese). The project, which has already started in 2015, had now European funding for its development.
The Landscape Museum prototype includes, among others, a website supported by online and offline platforms such as apps, videos and support guides.
The project partners include the Polytechnic of Lisbon (represented by ESCS), the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém and the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco and STRIX.
"It intends to contribute to a landscape citizenship since the landscape is built by all and implies the participation of the population", explains João Abreu, project coordinator.
The initial strategy consists of an approach to the geographical territory from several observation points along the Tagus river basin.

This initial plan will last for a year and a half, ending on April 12, 2019. Being a long-term project, it is the objective of the team to obtain later funding in order to extend this model to the whole national territory.
STRIX is the specialist partner in environmental, ecological and sustainable issues.
