STRIX has stared the birds and bats baseline studies for two wind farm projects located in Northern and Southern Tunisia.

The estimated capacity of these wind farms, when operating, will be of 220 MW on a first phase and 440MW on a second phase.

The global aim of these studies is to establish comprehensive baseline information on the avian and bats communities in the projects’ area, in line with requirements of the international environmental standards and with the application of internationally recognized scientific methods.

These studies will also provide information for a comprehensive assessment of the projects’ impacts on avifauna and bat fauna.
